Bloggy Busy Break….

Well gang sorry I haven’t been out visiting everyone as much lately. It’s been a little crazy around here. I do miss blog hopping! Plus I just haven’t been feeling well ever since I had a spring flu 2 weeks ago, I just can’t seem to shake it. I’ve had some unusual symptoms, joint pain and swelling so I went for blood work this morning. Although I feel good today! ๐Ÿ™‚ We shall see what the Dr. has to say.

It’s also a hard time spiritually, why is it when I get busy, I spend less time with the Lord. It’s like the things of this world are crying out for my immediate attention, while the Lord quietly, patiently, and steadfastly remains faithful to me, but I chose to ignore Him because the other things are screaming out for my attention. The busy schedule, and things that need to be done require my immediate and constant attention. And I let time with the Lord slip by for the other things. I know this is just a season, and it does get better, but right now I am going a bit crazy.

I think I need summer vacation! ๐Ÿ™‚ It is interesting thou, my times with the Lord do seem to be more meaningful, they are just less frequent. Life is such a balancing act, and right now I am having a bit of trouble with my balancing…..but there is only 18 more days of school! And then time for the 3 R’s….renewal, refreshment, revival!

Lamentations 3:22-24 The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”

  1. Your post caught my attention because several years ago I had a similar issue. I had a small virus that went away. Then I developed all over joint pain and swelling. It was horrible. We did lots of testing. In the end, it was decided that I had a “post viral arthralgia”. Yes, I know, you have never heard of it. Neither had I. Basically the virus sets up shop in the joints. I had to take a rhuematoid arthritis medication for a period of time. The symptoms did finally lesson and now I have no problems. It did take several months to get over. I pray that this is not the case for you, however, this is a much better diagnosis than some other things out there. I suspect you are being tested for Lupus, Rhuematoid Arthristis, etc. I did not know how common this was until I had it. So, hang in there and may the Lord bless you.

  2. Sounds like me (physcially) about 6 years ago. It ended up being Lyme Disease……
    I’ll pray for you!
And…yes, life is a balancing act. I find that even if I miss a day of quiet time with the lord, He doesn’t miss a day with me! If you know what I mean. Sometimes my best times in God are not the times I spend in Scriptures but the little moments throughout the days when I offer up a prayer or feel His Presence or just quietly meditating on what He is to me. I am ready for summer vacation too…..we go until June 26…another month!

  3. A few more days before summer vacation… my kids and I are counting ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Love that verse you mentioned. Great is His faithfulness, His mercies never cease ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Oh, I so relate to this. We have two more weeks. We finish up May 30. But this is the last week of all the crazy May-hem because all the extracurriculars stop the week of finals.

    Hang in there!
